The two cities signed a business agreement for the operation of the Yangsan Line at the Yangsan Line train depot on the afternoon of the 30th. This agreement was established to ensure the stable operation of the Yangsan Line, which is scheduled for completion this coming June. The core of the agreement is the concretization of the division of roles, costs, and transfer systems between the two local governments. According to the agreement, Yangsan City will operate the main section of the Yangsan Line, which runs from Nopo Station on Busan Metro Line 1 to Bukjeong Station. In addition, Busan City will be responsible for the section connecting to Busan Metro Line 2. The plan is to apply fares identical to those of the Busan Metro. In particular, transfer stations are designed with barrier-free direct access structures, allowing passengers to transfer directly without exiting the ticket gates. Currently, the construction progress rate for the Yangsan Line of the urban railway has exceeded 90%, and it is scheduled to open within the year.
