Many in Motion: Rick Hansen visits Rick Hansen PS! (YRDSB News & Events) #NationalAccessAbilityWeek

As part of his Many in Motion initiative and coinciding with National AccessAbility Week, Rick Hansen visited his namesake school in Aurora to help spread awareness and action on accessibility for those with disabilities. Hansen is a former Paralympic gold medalist, and famously travelled around the world -- through 34 countries on 4 continents -- on his wheelchair as the Man in Motion. Join us as he tours Rick Hansen Public School, inspiring students and showcasing the school's various accessibility features. He is joined by Rick Hansen Foundation ambassador, and Paralympic paracanoe athlete, Erica Scarff, who lost her leg to the same cancer that Terry Fox battled. In the face of her challenges, Erica has excelled at her chosen sport and continues to inspire others. Hansen's goal is a completely accessible Canada by 2040. Follow us!
