BETHLEMITE SISTERS DAUGHTERS OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS - INDIA

Our Institute of Bethlemite Sisters, Daughters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, arose from the Bethlemite Order, begun in Guatemala in the year 1658 by Holy Brother Pedro de San Jose Betancur, a native of the Canary Islands. The Congregation inspired by God to our Founders is an ecclesial event and is part of the History of Salvation. The Mystery of Christ in Bethlehem and on the Cross, and the reparative dimension, constitutes the essential nucleus of our Charism, a gift that the Congregation receives in order to live according to it, to constantly deepen and develop it, together with the ever-growing Body of Christ, thus collaborating in the salvation of man. In the light of the Charism, it is up to us the Bethlemite Congregation today to live the following of Christ, with spiritual clarity and courage, as our Founders lived in the historical moment that corresponded to them, to help the establishment of the Kingdom.
