Celebrating the Rule of Law, an Independent Judiciary, and America250 | TFAD Webinar

Law Day, held annually on May 1, is a national day set aside to celebrate the rule of law. Law Day celebrates the role of law in society and promotes a deeper understanding of the legal profession's contributions to democracy. This year, during the 2026 Semiquincentennial (250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence), Law Day holds particular significance as a bridge between the law and the people it touches. One pillar of the rule of law and our democracy is an independent judiciary. Hear from three Task Force members, all former federal judges, who will discuss the importance of the rule of law and an independent judiciary and how all of us as citizens can help protect the rule of law and the nation’s judges. This program will not only remind us of the principles upon which our country was founded but inspire us to take action to protect the “great experiment” that is the United States of America.
