Family Fun Arcade, July 2025 arcade tour (Cape May NJ), new 4K full walkthrough

It's been ages since I've been down to Cape May in New Jersey. I vaguely have memories as a child visiting there during the summertime with my parents, but I must have been low single digits at the time. So visiting here now in 2025 is practically a brand new experience for me. We're taking a look at the couple of arcades along their boardwalk -- well, promenade, really -- and the first stop we're making is at the Family Fun Arcade. This has been a mainstay of Cape May since the early 70's, just recently celebrating its fiftieth anniversary, and in recent years changing over from the classic tickets and quarters to a more modern game card system. It's bright and well-lit inside, and the majority of the games here are claw machines and redemption games, as to be expected with just about any arcade along the Jersey Shore these days. That's not to say that's ALL they have, obviously; you'll find shooters like Jurassic Park and Halo along the rightmost wall, as well as the new Fast & Furious game and a Spongebob VR ride for the kiddies. For me, though, the biggest treat was finding a premium edition Jaws in the corner in good, working condition. Although it wasn't connected to Insider and the cost per play was practically highway robbery at $2 for a single credit, it was super generous with matches and replays that out of three swipes, we ended up with 12 games in all (so basically, 50 cents per game).
