Non-Constituency MP Leong Mun Wai of the Progress Singapore Party criticised Budget 2025’s reliance on short-term handouts, arguing they fail to address deeper economic issues. “We do not want a First World Singapore only for the elites,” he declared, calling for long-term policies such as affordable housing, universal healthcare, and a minimum wage.
