Tymco 600 Series Street Sweeper in Santa Monica

A few years ago one of the side loader drivers I knew got promoted up to sweeper operator. I thought this was especially cool since I had never really filmed any sweepers aside from the LA Marathon and I wasn't too familiar with them in the first place. Seen in the video for the most part is one of their newer sweepers but one of their older ones is seen briefly too. After getting pretty familiar with these vacuum/regenerative air sweepers I have to say they are far more effective than the mechanical sweepers that LA uses. Filming these was quite interesting and I wouldn't mind doing it again in the future. Big thanks to Ricky for being so chill all these years; last clip in the video was actually the very last street he swept after a 38 year career with the City of Santa Monica.
