Whispering The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by CS Lewis, book 3 in The Chronicles of Narnia. Nostalgia galore and lots of fun to be had! This book is the one where everyone is jealous of Lucy, Prince Caspian is King Caspian (and Narnia’s most eligible bachelor), Eustace (spoilers) becomes a dragon, and everyone’s favorite chivalrous rodent, Reepicheep, is obviously the real main character. Edmund is also there. And there’s plenty of redshirts! It’s weird for a classic children's novel, but still not the weirdest Chronicle of Narnia, and definitely my favorite of the bunch. I hope you find the beach sounds as relaxing as I do. Some days the waves are slow and calm and some days the surf is louder, as I recorded over a period of months. Yes, months!! I’ve edited around the train and the ferry, but otherwise this is just me whispering the full book to you from the beach. There are some pesky seagulls that try to make an appearance. The footage is all shot by me at the beach and meant to be relaxing background vibes. This video took a ton of effort to create, and I learned a lot about how to improve my sound from frustrating and time consuming mistakes. Ultimately, I decided to post the half I was satisfied with, rather than letting it stick me in the mud. Maybe one day I will return to Narnia, but I’m going to work on some other videos for now.
