This video is excerpted from a recent, online group presentation that I made for my online students. The drawing, which I own, is by Henry Hensche (1899-1992) and the sitter is Hensche's first wife, Ada Rayner Hensche. The piece was created in vine charcoal on Michallet paper, and is undated and under life-sized. The video gave me an opportunity to continue in a longer, more meaningful dialog with students about the elusive concept of Hatchmark.
