TheWhiskyAnorak Review 15C - Ruadh Maor Comparisons Welcome to my review 15C where I compare the Chorlton Whisky Ruadh Maor 57.3% from review 15A to a Cadenhead’s version of Glenturret, also peated, and at 52.8%, it is 14yr old but matured in a Bourbon Hogshead for the duration and quite a different experience actually. The winner of the public vote was the Glasgow 1770 5yr 57.8% Passito di Caluso wine finish expression, a good choice of comparison as it is also a heavily peated malt from sweet Italian fortified wine casks.
