The journey begins with a shift in posture: from seeking God for what He gives, to seeking Him simply to know Him. This is presented as the foundation of true spiritual maturity. At the center of this path is the idea of a “secret place,” a quiet inward space where distractions fall away and attention becomes undivided. It is described as a place of encounter where God becomes more valuable than anything else, and where surrender becomes complete. In this place, devotion is not partial or conditional; it becomes a full offering of heart, will, and desire. Progress in this journey requires leaving behind internal and external “walls”—the structures built by priorities, responsibilities, relationships, achievements, and even religious activity when they begin to compete with intimacy.
