Trains at: East Croydon, BML

Hello once again! Welcome to East Croydon! My nearest BML train station. Today we are lucky because it is southeastern diverts! We see a variety of trains by all the Train Operating Company's that use this station. Includes: Southern 377, 455's and 171's Southeastern 375's Thameslink 700's & many more Southeastern diverts is an event which takes place 2 weekends every month. This event is to do with the section of track between Redhill and Tonbridge because there aren't many services throughout the week that go there. However, there are many more, they just terminate early at Redhill meaning you have to change. This is where southeastern comes in - utilising a half hourly service in each direction between Hastings and the Southern side of London Bridge station. Due to the long journey times between Hastings and London Bridge, the extra southeastern trains pass through the stations between Redhill and Tonbridge as there are lots of stops between Tonbridge and Hastings. Fortunately, one of the Hastings trains each hour is a semi-fast service. Meaning that it passes through most of the stops between Hastings and Tonbridge, reducing the journey times. As this event only takes place twice a month - the rest of the time you will have to Change at Tonbridge or go to London Bridge and go directly to Hastings from there. Enjoy! :-)
