I SHOWED MY DAUGHTERS BATMAN BEGINS (2005) - IS CHRISTIAN BALE THE BEST BATMAN!?

LORIE HAS THE BATMAN VOICE NAILED DOWN! We're back with another Mom & Daughters Reacts, and this time Tessa (Mama's Geeky), Lorie, and Ivy are watching Batman Begins for the very first time... and WOW, we absolutely LOVED this movie! We can completely see why Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy is so beloved. This film does an incredible job of showing Bruce Wayne's transformation into Batman, giving us one of the most compelling superhero origin stories ever put on screen. From Bruce's training with the League of Shadows to his return to Gotham and creation of Batman, we were hooked from start to finish. The grounded approach to the character makes everything feel so real, and watching Bruce struggle with fear, justice, and what kind of symbol he wants to become was fascinating. The action sequences are fantastic, the Batmobile reveal is iconic, and the world-building for Gotham City is incredible. We especially loved seeing Batman use fear against the criminals who had terrorized the city for so long. And can we talk about how amazing the villains are? Between Ra's al Ghul, Scarecrow, and the corruption infecting Gotham from within, the stakes felt huge. The fear toxin sequences were genuinely creepy, and the final act had us completely invested. This movie exceeded all of our expectations and has us SO excited to continue through Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy! Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, American Psycho) is phenomenal as Bruce Wayne / Batman, perfectly balancing the billionaire playboy persona with the darkness and determination of Gotham's protector. Michael Caine (The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Prestige) steals every scene he's in as Alfred Pennyworth, providing wisdom, humor, and heart. Liam Neeson (Taken, Schindler's List) delivers a fantastic performance as Ra's al Ghul, one of Batman's most dangerous adversaries. Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer, Peaky Blinders) is wonderfully unsettling as Dr. Jonathan Crane / Scarecrow. Gary Oldman (Harry Potter, Darkest Hour) shines as Jim Gordon, one of the few truly good people left in Gotham. Morgan Freeman (The Shawshank Redemption, Se7en) is excellent as Lucius Fox, providing Bruce with some of Batman's most iconic technology. Katie Holmes (Dawson's Creek, Logan Lucky) plays Rachel Dawes, Bruce's childhood friend and moral compass. Tom Wilkinson (Michael Clayton, The Full Monty) is memorable as crime boss Carmine Falcone.
