Part 8 VOL 9 TEXTILE TALES - French Flower Flash #roxyjournalofstitchery
Hi Everyone Welcome to my world of slow stitching. This series is following the Roxy sisters Sarah and Rachel - and their mum Judy as they guide us through Textile Tail Vol 9 Each month I will create a textile book based on the below themes which come from some of my favourite books 1 Re-visiting my favourite childhood books … Little Red Hen and Charlie the ginger cat using and old children’s 1950’s cloth reading book 2. Floral still-life’s inspiration by Lewis Miller and his book Flower Flash, French Blooms by Sandra Sigman. Plus as back ground inspiration Alice Caroline’s quilt book, Civil war sampler by Barbara Blackman and Plaids & Stripes by Roberta Horton Fabric measurements 33x6.5 inches Batting 8x53/4 inches Still thinking about the below list.. so adjustments maybe made… 3. Bunny in the garden inspired by Jennifer Clouston’s 3 stitching books. Below is a link to her channel / @jenniferclouston7545 4. William Morris … textile artist 5. Birds in Nature - thread painting 6. Mini quilts as a background page… inspired by Alice Caroline’s quilt book. Extra books that maybe featured As I’m starting this series off in Italy with the Roxy girls..a travel journal will be created and possibly other books as there are so many ideas floating around in my brain. Thanks for joining me on this adventure Corrine www.tobelovedtreasures.com.au
