I recently visited Tsuwano, known as the "Little Kyoto" of Shimane Prefecture. I strolled along Tonomachi Street, enjoying the traditional townscape and charming scenery. At Taikodani Inari Shrine, I climbed the thousands of torii gates, a challenging but rewarding climb. I accessed the Tsuwano Castle ruins by lift, enjoying a rare aerial stroll. Afterward, I hiked up the mountain path, experiencing the panoramic view of the town from the castle ruins. I'll share my honest impressions of visiting these popular tourist spots in one day.
