RAF Portreath During World War Two
A compilation of film clips taken in 1941 and 1942 at RAF Portreath show Ventura bombers preparing to take off for a bombing mission in France and a range of aircraft preparing to leave for the Middle East and Far East. The hills of Carn Brea and St Agnes Beacon are easily recognisable in the background and one aerial shot even shows the harbour and beach.
