An Evening with Michael Morpurgo feat. John Tams
On Monday, December 12, War Horse author Michael Morpurgo read from his acclaimed novel, on which both the award-winning National Theatre of Great Britain stage production and the upcoming Steven Spielberg film are based. He was be joined by musician and songmaker John Tams, whose rousing yet haunting songs were specially composed for the stage production of War Horse. Together they told the story of War Horse's journey from the page to the stage, and beyond. Proceeds from this show went to the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation, a registered charitable organization established in 2004 to put books in the hands of children at high-needs Canadian elementary schools.
