Political shifts are creating uncertainty surrounding two of Navantia's most important naval programs. Specifically, these are projects to build two corvettes for Croatia, worth approximately €1.6 billion, and frigates for Denmark, for an amount yet to be determined. In the case of Croatia, the government has put up for sale the country's only state-owned shipyard, Uljanik Brodogradnja 1856, which had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Navantia to jointly bid on the contract.
