S05E07 Driftwood Provincial Park Review + near disaster

We had an unexpectedly short camping trip at Driftwood Provincial Park from July 28th to the 30th, 2023. We arrived a day late due to the main highway leading to the park being shut down for a car crash. This is the second park of a five park tour. The tour consists of 3 or 4 nights each at Six Mile Lake PP, Driftwood PP, Samuel de Champlain PP, Mikisew PP and Oastler Lake PP. Driftwood is a small quiet park on the Ottawa River. We had one of the 22 electric sites. This park is known for it's amazing waterfront sites, that are all non electric. We were unable to take advantage of the beautiful water due to a blue-green algae bloom that closed the beaches. We still had a great time.
