When people think of European theme parks, one of the first names that comes to mind is Efteling in the Netherlands—and I finally got to visit! Nestled in a beautiful forest, Efteling is a theme park inspired by European fairy tales, myths, and folklore. It features a fantastic collection of roller coasters, dark rides, and immersive attractions unlike anywhere else. What makes Efteling even more special is its history. The park existed before Disneyland opened in 1955 and has continued to evolve ever since, regularly introducing new attractions while preserving its unique identity. From the story-driven dive coaster Baron 1898, to the hybrid boat ride and roller coaster The Flying Dutchman, the enchanting dark ride Droomvlucht (Dreamflight), and the iconic Fairy Tale Forest, Efteling offers an incredible variety of experiences. Most impressive of all is the park's newest attraction, Danse Macabre. At first glance, it might look like a haunted house, but it's unlike any haunted attraction you've ever experienced. This one-of-a-kind ride exists only at Efteling, and it's so unique that I wanted to ride it again... and again... and again. Join me for a full day exploring Efteling!
