This is the force keeping G-Funk alive, whether you want to admit it or not. Chicano G-Funk has been around since 1991 (as an emerging sub-genre of the West Coast sound) and didn't create a buzz until 1995 with Familia Records giving Chicanos the spotlight. The Chicano Rap Golden Age was from '94/'95 to around the early 2000's with great rappers such as Slow Pain, Knightowl, Lil Rob, Mr. Shadow, Tripple C, Cali Life Style, Mr. Lil One and others.
