The "enrama" of Comalcalco is one of the most important religious and popular traditions of the municipality, held in honor of Saint Isidore the Farmer, patron saint of farmers and agricultural workers. It consists of a large celebration where families, ranches, and communities bring offerings decorated with leaves, flowers, fruits, cacao, corn, and other agricultural products to the church or gathering place.
