The Iranian national team cannot count on the support of all Iranians at the World Cup. Iranian-Dutch Negin Nafissi is normally a fervent World Cup fanatic, but now refuses to turn on the television for her country of origin: "This is not the Iranian team, but a regime team. They are not playing for the Iranian people. For the time being, I have boycotted the tournament." Iran plays against New Zealand on Monday.
