It is a myth of an orphan and of orphancy - the state of being without, the condition of one who walks without origin. A narrator leads us through part of a longer journey. We cannot reach the orphan directly, but we can let the story enter, and through it, see something essential within and around us. The theme of wandering has always been at the center of my work. I found this sound by folding into that wandering mono no aware and yugen, entropy, dreams, love, light and shadow, grief and loss, joy and nothingness, union and solitude, through and through. We are not alone. The road continues. We carry each other's myths. Only by holding them in mind can we feel ourselves as human on this road, feel the road beneath us, and sense something waiting on the horizon. Recorded, mixed and mastered by me.
