While most of us would see only dry scrub, for the Albany-based educator and tour guide the bush is teeming with life. The Noongar season Kambarang runs from October to November and is a good time for harvesting bush tucker. Larry is able to locate several species of riverside plants that harbour all manner of nutritional and medicinal qualities. From the soap-like Jop Burn and salty Samphire, to the citrus punch of the Kurup and the delicate sweet flavour of the Mul.
