Is $1,400 a month really enough to live comfortably in Panama City? Before I relocated, I set a hard monthly budget of $1,400 to cover everything: rent, utilities, phone, and internet. Not to just survive — but to live sustainably and with some quality of life. Rent: $1200/month (Fully furnished Studio Apartment) Electricity: ~$100/month (Has never gone above $100 ... yet) Internet: $45/month (50Mbps UP and 50Mbps DOWN) Water: $7.92/month MiniMed Healthcare Plan: $22/month The View: Priceless TOTAL: $1374.92 NOTE: I do not budget for food because I do not have to. I can spend $300, $500, $1000/month if I want. I set a budget of $1400/month to keep me within the confines of minimalism. That's all.
