Description, presentation, ecosystem origin: Aglaonema is a genus of plants that includes about 60 species, and in recent years, dozens of varieties have been flooding garden centers. Its family, the Araceae, includes Philodendron, Dieffenbachia, Alocasia, Caladium, Monstera, Arum, Anthurium, Spathiphyllum, and Zantedeschia. It is a genus native to Asia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and the Philippines in tropical regions. Its preferred ecosystem is the very humid tropical forest, where it's very hot and the sunlight is filtered. Contrary to the well-known belief that the more sophisticated and colorful it is, the more difficult it is, but no! Quite the opposite! Undemanding and very hardy, it's an ideal plant for our interiors and is surprisingly easy to care for. Pollution-removing plant??? Controversy and bad advice...
