Pesca de la Anchoa del Cantábrico

We spent a day fishing for Cantabrian anchovies on the Ermita Pilar boat in Santoña. They are the treasure of the Cantabrian Sea, and anchovies can only be caught in spring. We witnessed the hard work of the fishermen. After bringing the catch to port, we learned how authentic Santoña anchovies are prepared by the women canners of Consorcio.
