Hello everyone! Today we'll talk about replacing the battery in an Avtodor transponder. I have this transponder, and it started intermittently malfunctioning at the gates at the checkpoints on toll roads. Sometimes I even had to reverse. I think this was very frustrating for the cars behind me. But it wasn't because I was such a jerk and got in the wrong line. The transponder simply didn't work, and the barrier didn't open. There are different transponder models, and as you know, in older models you can simply remove the battery and insert a new one. Everything will work as before. But I have a model with a power-dependent chip. This means it needs to be constantly powered. Otherwise, all the information will be lost. There's a lot written online about transponders stopping working after a simple battery change. Perhaps you have a different model, and the battery is easy to change. But I'm not taking any chances. I really don't want to buy a new transponder. By the way, looking ahead, I'll say that the procedure for replacing the battery in an Avtodor transponder is very simple and takes about 10 minutes, including a beer break. At each stage, I constantly monitored the power supply to the transponder board. So, let's begin. Conclusions: We're approaching the toll section. Now let's try our newly repaired Avtodor transponder. Now we'll find out whether I succeeded in changing the battery or not. We'll move into any lane for the transponder. I press it against the windshield and look. It didn't work!!! There you go. So, friends, that's it. I didn't count, the Avtodor transponder didn't work. So it's all bullshit. All these repairs. They must have something programmed to do nothing. And so you see, I have to reverse with the transponder. So, friends, I tried a couple more lanes at the checkpoint. The last one was the paid one. Nothing worked either!!! So, I had to go to a service center. I took it in for inspection. It turned out it was completely broken. I must have screwed something up. With the battery re-soldering. So I had to trade in. Here's a new transponder. It didn't cost me that much, even with the trade-in. So, it's all a waste of time. All these modifications are a gamble—it may or may not help you.
