COCO Beach Club How Accessible Scooter Tour Perfect Day at CocoCay
COCO Beach Club How Accessible Scooter Tour Perfect Day at CocoCay Cheryl comes off the shuttle. Now we're getting ready to head into the Coco Beach Club on Perfect Day at Coco Cay, which is Royal Caribbean's private island in The Bahamas. And we're going to tank a, tour of the facility and you'll see how accessible everything is with the scooter. And then we're going to have the privilege of going out on one of the floating cabanas, and you'll see again, that those are accessible as well. If you want to connect with me, here is my social media information IG @kenedmonds19 Twitter @kenedmonds19 FB Kenneth.Edmonds.94 FB group / travelingwithachair Just about everything, except the sand areas, were very easily accessible on Perfect Day at Coco Cay. The restaurant is completely accessible. The floating cabanas are completely accessible. I'm going to start in, we've got this really nice paved path. They've done a great job of landscaping this property. It is just gorgeous. We were told this facility had opened in 2019 for three months and then it just reopened again. So there's been very little use of this facility due to the pandemic. This is Royal Caribbean's first beach club. And based on the success, it probably will not be the last. It does have a limitation in the number of people that can use it for any one day. You can't stay there, but you get a day pass to it. If you rent a cabana, it includes eight individuals' admission. If you get a day pass, those are priced per individual. We're going to go in and we're going to take a quick look at the restaurant. We are not going to eat right now, we will come back later in the day for lunch. And that'll be a different video, but you'll get a chance to see it. You can see all the bouncing is me. It's not my wife bouncing in the scooter. It's very nice, easily navigable in the scooter. They're giving us a little bit of a discussion about what's available here. We'll come back later today and we'll go in there and eat. There is a ramp right there that takes you up into the restaurant. We're headed out now. We're going to start by going out and looking at a beach cabaana. And as we pass along this pool, you'll see that there is a pool lift here, which means that the pool is totally accessible. We're going to look at beach cabana to start with. And then from the beach cabanas, we're going to go out and look at the cabanas that are floating. And you'll notice over to the left they have both a beach wheelchair and they have a beach baby buggy. The reason they have both is that people were using beach wheelchair instead of a stroller, so they have the beach stroller and the beach wheelchair. Which makes it very easy for families with small kids. And you have the ability to get into a beach wheelchair and go close to the water in the water. So our guide was explaining all of those things to us. It's just an amazing facility . Now that we've finished our discussion of the beach stroller and the beach wheelchair. We're going to move toward one of the beach front cabanas. These are really nice, the floating was one of my favorite. These tricycles we see here on the side are used by the servers that work in the restaurant and bar area to deliver food out to the cabanas. Your cabana does come with food service from the restaurant. It does come with bar service. Now, your drinks here you have to buy, it's not included in the drink package. And it's not included in the admission, but your lunch is included in the admission to the park. So we're going to walk along and Santiago was a great guide and enjoyed showing us around, was so proud of the island and all that Royal Caribbean has done to make it look amazing. They've done a tremendous job with the landscaping. I didn't find anything to fault in this at all. So we're now turning down a little path to the beachfront cabana. And you'll notice that it's all one level so she can take her scooter right up to the entrance. She won't go in with the furniture. . He says you can just rearrange the furniture; comes with water, you have the ability to plug an iPad or something for music. You have a safe there to secure your belongings. You have the lounge chairs and you're looking right out at that for a beach. It's just so very nice and just well done. One of the things that I have loved about our visit is they have gone so far to make as many things as possible accessible. It is a far and away of the private islands I've seen so far, it is the most accessible. I think far and away it's the prettiest of the islands that I've visited. We just really enjoyed our day here.
