Deutschland auf Koks: Das sind die krassen Folgen für Körper und Psyche | Die andere Frage
Cocaine: The white powder used to party to techno, boost performance at work, or improve focus. Since the documentary about Haftbefehl, everyone's been talking about coke. But how normal is cocaine use really? For this film, we meet people who tell us about their experiences with cocaine and how the drug affects their lives. If you or a loved one needs help: You can find contact points and counseling centers in the addiction support directory: https://www.dhs.de/ The number of cocaine users in Germany is growing. In 2015, 0.6% of adults used it once a year; by 2021, that figure had risen to 1.6%. The amount seized by the police and customs has also increased in recent years: 43 tons of cocaine were seized in 2023. And this despite the fact that possession, acquisition, production, and trafficking are illegal. Anyone caught with coke faces up to five years in prison or a fine. While cocaine isn't physically addictive, it is highly psychologically addictive and causes massive physical damage: cocaine damages the nose and vital organs and increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Those who are addicted often don't notice it immediately; the process is gradual. _________________________________ CHAPTER MARKS 00:00 – 01:43: Hidden Camera in a Club – Josh Wants to Buy Coke 01:43 – 03:12: Poll: Is Coke Normal for You? 03:12 – 03:36: How many people use cocaine in Germany 03:36 – 04:15: Lisa's last resort from cocaine addiction: The addiction clinic 04:15 – 04:34: Lisa's diary entry when she simply can't take it anymore 04:34 – 04:52: The consequences of Lisa's cocaine addiction: "You always want more" 04:52 – 05:42: How Lisa's addiction began – she wanted to numb her feelings 05:42 – 05:51: These are the reasons why people use cocaine 05:51 – 06:11: How Lisa realized: I'm addicted 06:11 – 06:34: "Cocaine takes your soul" 06:34 – 08:05: Back at the club: Josh tries to find a dealer 08:05 – 10:08: Josh calls a coke taxi – “Are you scared?” 10:08 – 11:26: Silvana used coke for 20 years – How it all started 11:26 – 12:23: Silvana's use wrecked her body – and yet she was lucky 12:23 – 12:58: How Silvana overcame her addiction 12:58 – 13:58: How cocaine works 13:58 – 15:00: Silvana got coke from her employer 15:00 – 16:49: Back with Josh: Is the coke taxi coming? _________________________________ FURTHER SOURCES The University of Hamburg and the Center for Interdisciplinary Addiction Research have compiled information for cocaine users here: https://kokainfo.de/ What cocaine does in the body is explained in more detail here: https://www.tk.de/techniker/krankheit...
