It was hosted by Leonard Nimoy and featured the actor discussing the making of The Original Series and the first two Star Trek movies, Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It also included a short preview of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. The documentary was filmed in Boston, Massachusetts at the Channel 56 television studios and ran about fifty minutes to fill a one hour TV time slot. At the time, the channel was part of the Kaiser Broadcasting Group, partially owned by the Boston Globe newspaper group.
