ALOCASIA ZEBRINA : Entretien, Arrosage, Soins & Maladies

After several months of growing to fully understand and grasp the needs of Alocasia zebrina, I am pleased to share with you in a video my feedback and the growing tips I've implemented. Here I present my two Alocasia zebrina plants. One, XXL in a 27cm diameter pot and 1.3m-1.5m tall when it arrived in my jungle in the fall of 2019, benefited from repotting during the winter and now exceeds 2 meters. Another Alocasia zebrina, a slightly more modest size of about 50 to 70cm upon arrival, is now easily over a meter tall. I review most of the care steps with as much relevance and detail as possible. What are the ideal exposures? Can it tolerate direct sunlight or lower light? What are the appropriate temperatures? How to repot, and which pot is ideal? Plastic or terracotta pots: what are the differences? What is the most suitable substrate? Should you prefer a homemade mix, or is ready-made potting soil suitable? What type of fertilizer, when, and how often? How should I water my Alocasia zebrina and how often? What care should I use to ensure beautiful growth? What diseases can you encounter? Mealybugs, fungus gnats, mites, red spider mites, etc. And what natural treatments can I use to get rid of pests? I'll also reveal my tips for helping the plant keep its heavy, striped stems upright... a question that comes up very frequently.
