Exploring The West Coast's Forgotten Mines | Denniston & Millerton

New Zealand's West Coast is famous for its mining history and one of its most famous is the Denniston Incline. The mine is located on top of a huge hill and saw mine carts full of coal racing down the incline that in some places was 45 degrees in angle. The Millerton Incline and Bathhouse are some of the lesser-known locations on the West Coast, barely signposted and overgrown we actually missed it last time we were here. So this time we were determined to go back and we are so glad we did!
