The Most Peaceful Place That Shouldn't Exist

I went into the Poolrooms expecting entities, jump scares, the usual Backrooms treatment. Instead I found warm water, ambient music, cube puzzles, and an office chair you can roll around in — including into the pools. This game understood something the others didn't. Transcendence in the Poolrooms is a liminal space adventure where the threat isn't a monster — it's the space itself. Endless tiled halls, water that goes down forever, areas that look real but feel deeply wrong, and a timed challenge mechanic that snapped me out of my zen state real quick at the end. The demo just dropped a few days ago and I might be one of the first to play it.
