August 28, 2021 The Trabocchi Coast is a stretch of sea that runs from the province of Chieti to Vasto, in Abruzzo. The road that runs along it is the SS16, which for a long stretch offers views of the immensity of the azure sea and, occasionally, the typical fishing machines of these areas, the trabocchi. Today, the trabocchi are unique and charming restaurants, allowing you to dine literally in the middle of the sea. Unfortunately, however, they have very limited seating and are in high demand, which is why reservations are required at least 2-3 months in advance. In this episode, we're traveling between Abruzzo and Puglia, more specifically, to Lesina and its lakes, located at the base of the Gargano. Here, we'll enjoy truly fresh and delicious fish dishes and a traditional meat dinner in the butcher's shop-restaurant below the B&B where we'll be staying for the next two nights.
