I'll reveal her secrets as a singer coach by analyzing one of her coaching sessions with you :)! ❓How to learn to sing in tune? Learn to #sing #more #in tune? How to sing in tune? ✔️In this coaching session, she helps the singer sing more in tune! 🔊 Here's the full video: I. The singer's performance:    • Video   II. The coaching:    • Jessie e Damielou Do it Like a Dude The Vo...   1️⃣ Simplify! To sing more in tune, Jessie J advises her to simplify her melody. The singer added a lot of ornamentation (vibes) to the original melody, which doesn't work! You don't want to overdo it, especially if the underlying melody isn't in tune. When you overdo it, it's usually because you're trying to mask what isn't working, to distract attention. 2️⃣ Be calm! When you ask someone to be calm, it's because they're tense in every way, and therefore, they're not managing their breathing well, but also their muscle tension, which, as you know, plays a major role in vocal performance, particularly in pitch. By saying "Be Calm," she's simply telling him: relax your muscle(s)! This doesn't mean she has to be relaxed all the time, but she has to learn to alternate her contractions to maintain her pitch. 3️⃣ Posture! We can see that Jessie J has a posture that's "grounded," she's truly grounded. She uses a position that activates her thighs, almost sitting down; this position will give her what we call grounding. Grounding will give her vocal stability, an essential ingredient for singing in tune! 4️⃣ Breathe!! Here, she says "breathe" several times! It also means "relax, be cool"! She really encourages him to relax his muscle at the end of his sentence. When I relax my muscle, the intake of air happens automatically, which creates an automatic inhalation. She really advises him to relax! 5️⃣ Prepare yourself! She then explains to him that if she wants to go high notes, she must prepare beforehand. "Prepare yourself, take your time." It simply means, break down what you need to do: 1. I relax 2. I prepare my energy according to my sentence 3. I sing 6️⃣ Breathe to "control" In this advice, "control" means mastering your vocal gesture! Relax your muscle so you can start with a new contraction, a blank contraction, which you can more easily master. She tells him that she will then be in complete control of her moment, her vocal gesture, her sentence. 7️⃣ Motivation! "I believe in you" If you don't have a cheerleader around you, that's okay! You need to become your own cheerleader :)! Encourage yourself to boost your self-confidence, your joy, and your energy.
