Alligators of North Carolina - North Carolina Wildlife Federation

The Island Wildlife Chapter of the NC Wildlife Federation (NCWF) hosts Becky Skiba for a presentation on the biology and behavior of alligators. Becky has worked as a Coastal Region Educator with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission for 5 years. Becky has worked in Environmental Education since 2009 across the Southeast including Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi and North Carolina. She has assisted with research and monitoring of nesting sea turtles and wood storks with US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Georgia Dept. of Natural Resources. Becky also worked for Jekyll Island 4-H center providing coastal and wildlife education and for a non-profit eco-tourism group in Savannah leading tours through coastal ecosystems. She worked with Audubon Mississippi after the BP Oil Spill on community education and volunteer efforts to establish a baseline population of waterbirds affected by the spill.
