Finding the Best Local Food in Siem Reap 🇰🇭 (For My Cambodia Group Trip)

Welcome to my Siem Reap research trip vlog: Best Food Spots & Finding Activities🇰🇭✨ In this vlog, I’m in Siem Reap preparing for my upcoming A Koun Khmer Homecoming Experience: Khmer New Year Edition April 2026 (which is happening NOW as you watch this vlog!) Come with me to find some of the best local food spots, explore local activities, and try to find where we can bring our guests to play Khmer New Year games together! From comparing nom banh jok (Cambodian fish rice noodles) in Preah Dak village vs. Siem Reap city, to trying grilled beef with prahok sauce, and even stepping out of my comfort zone to try CRICKETS for the first time… this trip was all about finding experiences that feel authentic, memorable, and worth sharing with our future groups. At the same time, I was also trying to research Khmer New Year festivities, and honestly, it wasn’t as straightforward as I expected. It made me realize how much of this experience is about being going with the flow and discovering things in real time. This is all part of building something intentional for koun Khmer who want to come to Cambodia and reconnect. 💛 🌿 A Koun Khmer Homecoming Experience: Khmer New Year (April 2026) - HAPPENING NOW This trip is a 10-day homecoming journey through Cambodia, designed for Khmer diaspora to reconnect with our roots, culture, language, and community — together.
