Teil 15: Welche Arbeiten fallen an? | Meerwasseraquarium für Anfänger

In this video from our beginner series, Basti shows you the regular tasks involved in maintaining a saltwater aquarium. 🐠🌊 Of course, much depends on how you run your aquarium and what equipment you use – however, there are some basic routines that every saltwater aquarist should follow to ensure the tank runs smoothly and healthily. There are a total of 8 important points that you should integrate into your weekly routine. Important: Don't put things off! Acting with the motto "I'll do it tomorrow" is one of the biggest mistakes in saltwater aquariums (quote: Jonas Stratmann). Consistency is the key to a successful aquarium. These tasks need to be done regularly: 1️⃣ Feeding & observing the animals – daily (and of course, enjoying the beauty of the hobby) 2️⃣ Checking & topping up the reverse osmosis water – daily 3️⃣ Measuring water parameters (salinity, temperature, KH, Ca, PO4, NO3) – daily to once a week 4️⃣ Cleaning the aquarium glass – every 2–3 days 5️⃣ Emptying & cleaning the protein skimmer cup – every 2–4 days 6️⃣ Performing water changes – every 1–2 weeks (especially important for beginners) 7️⃣ Checking the equipment & monitoring the dosing system – every 1–2 weeks 8️⃣ Documenting – recording measurements, actions taken, and changes This video series is perfect for anyone planning their first saltwater aquarium or who has just started and wants to expand their knowledge step by step. 👉 Enjoy the video!
