Sonny & Cher Show - Season 2 Opener (Silly Love Songs)
Sonny & Cher return for season two of their variety show in episode which aired September 26, 1976. This segment shows the entire opening: the intro features cameos by Tom & Dick Smothers, Barbara Eden, Wayne Rogers, Charo and Bob Hope. In season two, producers made a point, likely for economies of scale, to shoot segments with a roster of guest stars, then use them throughout the season (as guests will reappear multiple times though the same season). Season two also began the practice of interspersing a recurring skit (Laverne & Alvin) during the opening song, which seemed tedious and was dropped by mid-season.
