Railroad Crossing | Groesbeck St (Track 2), Bryan, TX

🗓 Date: 4/22/23 🛤 Line: UP Bryan Subdivision (Track 2) ✭✭✭ Like every spring for a few years straight, I was back in the Bryan-College Station area for a family event in April of 2023. As usual, I decided to slip in a little railfanning during the weekend. Here is one of my catches, a southbound UP manifest taking the "siding" for a northbound. Track 2 in Bryan effectively functions as a long passing siding though is well and truly a main track with its own intermediate signal. Track 1 is the former SP main, while Track 2 is the former MP main. North of Bush Junction, the MP main continues north as the single-track Navasota Subdivision, while the SP main continues north as the seldom-used Bryan Subdivision. As luck would have it, I was able to see a train on the Bryan Subdivision on this day. Stay tuned... This crossing features a set of older gates installed by the Missouri Pacific decades ago. Many components have been swapped out including the bells and at least one gate motor. The light heads appear to be original, for what it's worth. ✭✭✭ Timestamps: 0:00 - Signal activation 0:36 - Gate runner and train 4:35 - Signal deactivation ✭✭✭ Visit my other media platforms here! https://linktr.ee/The_Central_Texas_R...
