What an adventure! Flying A C-47 / DC-3 in Colombia. On May 10-2000 I climbed aboard the C-47A HK-3037, former 43-16082 USAAF, for a flight to Miraflores. Accessible by air and river, Miraflores is an island in the forests of southern Colombia that was home to thousands of hectares of illicit crops as well as the dissident 1st Front of the demobilized FARC guerrilla group.
