DENUNCIAN ESTAFA POR $US 380.000 AL TRATAR DE COMPRARLOS
The Special Force for the Fight Against Crime (FELCC) in La Paz received a complaint from a group of people accusing Ariela M. R. S. of a currency exchange scam. The victims claim the losses exceed US$380,000, equivalent to approximately 8 million Bolivianos. According to the complainants, the woman offered to exchange Bolivianos for dollars, claiming she had contacts who brought the currency from Argentina and that she also received remittances through a financial institution. To gain their trust, she initially made partial payments of dollars. Using this method, she persuaded the victims to hand over increasingly larger sums. One of the victims stated that she handed over 7,500,000 Bolivianos. “She was selling to us and buying from us. She gave us dollars, that's why we trusted her, we kept giving her money, we kept increasing the amounts,” she recounted. When the money wasn't returned, the complainants detained the accused and took her to the FELCC headquarters, where she was to give her statement. The case will be referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office to determine the legal status of the person involved and to establish if there are others involved. #VictorHugoTellsYou #Bolivia #foryou #viral #FYP
