Higher points grant terrifying bonuses to base stats, but also trigger irreversible “Degeneration Mutations”: your form becomes grotesque, your sanity erodes (manifested as screen hallucinations, difficulty identifying friend/foe), and you attract priority attacks from the “Purgers” (elite NPCs) roaming the map. You can choose to eat only neutral creatures or plants, growing slowly and pure but weak. The true apex predator must walk a tightrope between mad power and the abyss of losing control.
