Join me as I embark on a 4 hour trip in Singapore Airline’s Premium Economy Class onboard the airline’s Airbus A350-900, which is not as pricy as I had expected it to be. In 2015, Singapore Airlines launched the Premium Economy Class, a cabin that’s more spacious than economy while incorporating elements of business class, all while supposedly costing in between Economy and Business Class. Some airlines have reported that Premium Economy normally generates the most revenue per square metre on the plane given the marginal extra space it takes up over Economy, while costing substantially more to the passenger. Yes, it even generates more revenue per square metre than Business Class, especially when the cabin is full. Will Singapore Airlines’s Premium Economy really be worth it?
