Suite from the "Codex Caioni"
Suite from the "Codex Caioni" for string orchestra (1996) Composer: Dan Voiculescu The "Codex Caioni" is a compendium of arrangements of sacred and popular music. Its redactor was the Transylvanian Franciscan friar Kájoni János aka Ioan Căianu (1629-1687) who lived in the monastery of Lăzarea. Since the manuscript was immured by the friars at the end of World War II in order to protect it from the Red Army, it was considered lost until its rediscovery in 1988. 1. Dans zglobiu 0:00 2.
