The goal is to discover its position in the ranking of speakers tested under the same conditions here on the channel. Additionally, I will test its bass and sub-bass performance, from 100 Hz to 20 Hz, using a single decibel meter in dBC mode. At the end, I’ll explain its placement in each specific ranking and, after all three tests, reveal its position in the overall ranking. Next, I’ll explore all the available equalization settings so you can experience its sound quality. Finally, I’ll share my opinion about its performance. Before we begin, a clarification: The purpose of this test is not to praise or criticize the LG Xboom XL 9T speaker, but to provide an impartial analysis of its power measured with a decibel meter. This test does not take distortion or sound fidelity into account but focuses solely on bass, sub-bass, and open-area performance. With that clarified, let’s start the duel! Open Area Test: Using the two decibel meters, the LG Xboom XL 9T ranks 15th place among the speakers tested under the same conditions on the channel. Bass Test: Now, let’s measure bass frequencies from 100 Hz to 60 Hz. With this result, the LG Xboom XL 9T takes 7th place in the ranking of speakers with the most bass. In the manual equalization mode, while I could reduce mids and highs to focus on bass, there was a noticeable volume loss. My Opinion: The LG Xboom XL 9T is currently my favorite speaker in terms of sound quality, mainly because of its balance between mids and bass.
