Master Component Display in Creo Parametric Drawing | Blank, Unblank & HLR (Fabrication Example)

To make these concepts practical and easy to understand, I have used a real-world fabrication assembly exercise featuring a structural steel frame covered with a chequered plate. When working with assembly drawings, cover plates can often block the view of essential internal structural members or welding joints. This video will teach you how to manage your drawing views like a professional design engineer! 🔧 What you will learn in this video: Component Blank & Unblank:- Learn how to temporarily hide (Blank) the chequered plate in a specific drawing view to clearly show the frame and joints beneath it, and how to bring it back (Unblank) when required. Component-wise Style Control (HLR):- Discover how to apply different display styles to individual parts within the same view. For example, setting the main assembly to 'No Hidden' while keeping the chequered plate in 'Hidden' (dashed lines) for perfect visual clarity. Drawing Optimization: Techniques to keep your complex 2D manufacturing drawings clean, organized, and easy for the shop floor to read. 💡 Professional Tip:- Using the 'Blank' command only hides the component visually in that specific view. It does NOT delete the part from your 3D assembly, nor does it remove it from your Bill of Materials (BOM)!
