This lesson describes an assembly language program for calculating the CRC of a 1-wire interface. The program was written for a PIC16F84A microcontroller using MPLAB X. The lesson begins by showing how to calculate the CRC used in the 1-wire interface. It also shows where to find the generator polynomial needed for calculating the CRC. The address of the slave 1-wire device was used as the data being verified. The correct operation of the program is demonstrated using a diagram built in Proteus.
